We were looking for coffee and cake and luckily found this lovely diner. We had chocolate fudge cake and strawberry cheese cake with coffee. Everything was delicious. The service was even better, friendly staff, very attentive and gracious. The restaurant is large with many booths and tables. Extensive menu.

Old school diner with a menu the size of the City. Service was excellent and the people were very friendly. The food was good, I had the Apollo Breakfast Wrap and my husband had one of the breakfast sandwiches. Nothing fancy, but definitely good value for the money.

The classic NY diner lives on in the New Apollo Diner in Brooklyn! There is hope for us all. Chronology of Sunday lunch experience: Time from entrance to seat - five seconds Coffee and water on its way before I took my jacket off First order inquiry with coffee - 90 seconds from entrance Follow up and order taken - three minutes Western omelette with custom adds, grits, and rye toast on the table - 9 minutes And...bam! Omelette, grits, and toast arrives piping hot, with requested hot sauce, and pico de gallo and salsa verde on the side just to bring it home. Coffee pours offered at any point when my mug got below the 50% mark as if they had sensors in it...or they were really good at their jobs. And smiling folks serving all the way around, corner location with big diner windows for people watching, manager shakes my hand when I tell him it was my first time there and says "then we'll be seeing a lot more of you." Some short order pros in the kitchen getting it done. And the eggs were free-range Hudson Valley sourced. Ok..I made the"Hudson Valley" part up. But for all the pretentious nonsense that comes with getting a meal in a lot of restaurants, the New Apollo Diner just served good food at a fair price and took care of me like they cared about my coming back. And that is straight up. So go there. And say hello to the staff and smile back and leave a generous tip to the ace waitress who hails from Puebla, Mexico and is rocking it in Brooklyn!

Great place to stop for simple and easy diner food! This place has an extensive menu so be prepared or be overwhelmed! But the service is great with clean tables!

Was my first diner in Brooklyn and it was nice. Of course the Menues would need a little update but all in all, it was good! Tasty food and fair prices. Service was good, although sometimes a bit slow.

Came here for the first time. Restaurant was big and customer service was on point. Our hostess was very friendly. The food was good and had nice portions. It may be a little on the pricey side for breakfast. I wouldn't recommend making your own omelet if you want alot of extras in your omelet. You have to pay each for individual item and it will add up. Example bacon $3.50 plus cheese $4.00 plus spinach plus tomatoes $4.00 you will end up paying $21.00 for an omelet. My suggestion is to pick the omelets they have on the menu. Not much varieties for teas if you are a tea drinker. Otherwise everything else was good. They also have a huge selection to pick from so you would get something you want from the menu.

CLEAN: - dedicated waiter - dedicated person who serves silverware in boiling, steamy water, which is reassuring during the Pandemic. VERY QUICK SERVICE (Sunday at 11:45AM): - waiter was attentive, ready to grab us drinks before we had a chance to look at menu. Didn't have a problem getting our food. LARGE PORTIONS (see photo for price and its portion): - Above: Eggs Benedict Florentine ($15.00)--huge portion - Below: Corn beef hash, 1 egg, grits and toast ($13.00)--mild portion OWNER LIKES TO ARM WRESTLE: - The owner asked if I wrestle. He subsequently challenged me to an arm wrestling match. Don't be fooled by his pot belly, the man is strong: I had to pay double my ticket for losing. ONE NEGATIVE: - a little pricey--but just a little. Maybe it was 15-20% more than what I would have liked to pay for. Solid 4/5 star
